London: Sport and Culture

Program Details

Come explore British culture through global sport. This interdisciplinary course will focus on the prominent role sport plays in English life, explore cultural history, and visit a variety of popular London attractions. Students will be engaged in academic presentations as well as touring prominent athletic venues such as the 2012 Olympic Park and Wimbledon. Students will have the opportunity to learn from and network with executives of the London Youth Games, Fulham Soccer club, and the National Football League-UK office. All of this plus learning how to play cricket, whitewater rafting down the Olympic course, beholding the crown jewels, and visiting Windsor Castle as well as time to explore London on your own. This is sure to be an enriching educational experience of a lifetime.
