Ireland: Sport, History, and Culture

Program Details

Global Sport and Leisure in Ireland will focus on the Irish sport industry in order to empower student’s academic and professional resumes. Students will immerse themselves in Irish culture and history as they learn about the role that sport played in the Irish struggle for independence and identity. Students will be engaged in academic presentations, touring athletic facilities, networking with professional sport club personnel, as well as learning how to play Gaelic Football and Hurling. In addition, students will visit and examine some of Ireland’s most popular tourism attractions, taste local cuisine, and explore Dublin and Belfast.

Refund Policy

December 4, 2017 – January 26, 2018: 100% refundable
January 27, 2018 – February 23, 2018: $200 nonrefundable
February 24, 2018 – Class Start/Departure: Zero refundable

Program Fee Covers

Accommodation, 10 meals (7 breakfast and 3 dinners), academic sight visits, sightseeing tours and
excursions, transportation to all included activities, tour guide, DSU travel insurance.

Program Fee DOES NOT Cover

Airfare, DSU tuition, passport fee, 15 meals, discretionary spending, souvenirs.
